Join a growing team of audiologists, ENTs, and APPs to provide care to patients in Sioux Falls and the surrounding area.
We provide audiologic services to adults and children including: diagnostic testing, hearing aid fittings/service, auditory brainstem response (ABR) testing, osseointegrated device fitting/programming, cochlear implant evaluations/programming, and videonystagmography (VNG) testing.
Job Summary
Evaluates a person’s hearing functions through various types of auditory tests and provides treatments for hearing loss and impairment. Plans and conducts treatment programs for patients' hearing or balance problems, consulting with educators, physicians, nurses, psychologists, speech-language pathologists, and other health care personnel as necessary. Administers and interprets a wide range of auditory tests to assess a person’s hearing functions. Provides treatments for patients with different types and degrees of hearing loss and impairment, using diverse audiological tools and methods. Develops hearing screening programs. Prevents hearing loss and other communication disorders by implementing hearing conservation programs. Adheres to quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure accurate and safe audiology services are provided to patients.
Able to assist in administrative tasks, such as managing office functions and finances as needed. Willing to engage in marketing activities, such as developing marketing plans, to promote business for private practices. Educates and supervises audiology students and health care personnel as needed. Ability to conduct or direct research on hearing or balance topics and report findings to help in the development of procedures, technology, or treatments. Advises educators or other medical staff on hearing or balance topics. Provides information to the public on hearing or balance topics. Willing to participate in conferences or training to update or share knowledge of new hearing or balance disorder treatment methods or technologies.
Qualifications
Appropriate education level from an accredited educational institution required in accordance with state licensure.
Board Certified in Audiology from an accredited audiology program required, including, but not limited to, The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or the American Board of Audiology (ABA). Licensed in the state(s) of practice as an Audiologist through the appropriate state licensure board required. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
